This is great news when you have to drive to the Wairarapa every weekend to get far away from the madding crowd.
Petrol prices fall again
Major oil companies dropped fuel prices by 6c a litre in New Zealand today. Shell spokeswoman Jackie Maitland told NZPA tonight 91 octane petrol had dropped to 189.9c a litre, 95 octane to 195.9c and diesel to 147.9c.
It was the second fall in fuel prices in a fortnight. OnSeptember 17 the companies dropped petrol prices by 4c a litre and diesel by 6c.
