FIRST PM TO BE A MEMBER OF THE GOOD BASTARD CLUB?

We think so.

We were dubious that Key had a programme that made use of his talents and positioned NZ well on the world stage. We must have been having a bit of a black hat day as it is clear that John Key is doing very very well.

We think that its because he is a Good Bastard. Obama went looking for him.
He is prepared to look like a dick on USA TV because it gives our tourism invaluable exposure. He foots it on the world stage. He looks like he is enjoying it and and he does it in his inimitable good bastard style.

He should become the patron of the Good Bastards club.

Send him some brews Paddy.

Given he's probably the wealthiest world leader (who hasn't embezzled their nations funds), I would imagine that gives him the confidence required to front!

Not to mention he used to be surrounded by shit-eating bankers in suits.

Yes, I thought John Boy did well too.
I also liked him on Close Up tonight.
John Key showed real warmth and humanity.
I'd happily have a few beers with this PM.

Given your earlier comments BB, I had to laugh when I saw the Australian's editorial page this morning.

They argue that despite an overwhelmingly successful US trip by Rudd he lost out to Key big time by not appearing on Letterman.
