Peter Marshall He is shaping up to be a tough bugger who really wants the NZ police force to be the best in the world.
And it appears he doesnt take kindly to Meurant besmirching his force in an article in North and South.
He has taken on Meurant, picking apart his thin arguments and ridiculing his conclusions.
Meurant was a shit cop. He served in a time when there was a few of them.
Marshalls column show he will not truck with smears of our police force. He wont put up with crap from a tired has been who was involved in some of the murkiest affairs in police and politics.
Meurant continues to try and blame the culture of his time in the force for the bad things that happened. Meurant was weak and went the flow of his day. He never questioned a thing.
Marshall is an oustanding cop with unquestionable integrity.
Meurant was never a good cop but he was arguably a bad one.
Meurant, in comparison to Marshall, is what every mother hopes their sons never grow up to be - a complete and utter souless narcissistic bully with no balls.
And if Meurant was to do the country any real favours - he would finally lift the lid on the woeful scampi debacle.
