SOMEWHERE OVER THE MOONBOW
We thought we were seeing things tonight but no we were lucky enough to see something truly beautiful. There was a full moon and clear skies to the east and a stormy bank of clouds over the Tararuas at about 6.40 this evening - it was past dusk. So there must have been enough light off the big ol' moon to create a rainbow to the west. Im a dork with a very good camera and I have only fiddled a little bit with this image ( its actually a lot darker outside that it appears here). Anyway its bloody cool to see such beautiful and fairly rare natural phenomenon - a Moonbow - in our own back yard. Ya gotta love living under the clear skies of rural New Zealand

ALL A TITTER OVER TATERS

Wow big news .. We love spuds. They are New Zealands favourite vege. We also hate Brussell Sprouts.. And Southlanders like their swedes.
So if you like spuds you might like to purchase the "love spud" a curiously shaped tater on trademe.

TIME - ONLY TIME

We had a catch up with some of our IT mates today. We were all talking about the Daylight saving blues.
They laughed heartily. Apparently the government departments ( and a few private sector businessess ) rely on the beating heart of microsoft software to power their day. Trouble is there are many businesses and organisations that have not rejigged their microsoft software to take into account the new daylight saving hours.. Consequently - doors wont open when then should , lifts are out of sinc and horror of horrors , if you had an appointment in microsoft outlook with an overseas client it wont take into account the time slippage.....
A bloody good excuse to stay in bed for an extra hour we say...
