Hello all,

I have had a few emails asking why Roarprawn has not been entered in the Air New Zealand Awards for bloggers ( real bloggers). Well as Busted is a little bit of bother which hopefully will be resolved soon, she decided that it would not be appropriate to enter.

However, it appears that Roarprawn could still be a wildcard in the awards which are here

As Busted can't do or say much for the moment, here are our links to some of her best work in the last year.

I like Bustedblondes impressions of Ngai Tahu politics such as this post here. I am Rangitane so I am always interested in what our neighbours in the south are up to.

And I definitely want to hear more about this issue. Scampi may be a tad historical but by Jove it has all the makings of a great yarn.

And who could forget this post about the downside of being a mistress. ( Busted seems to know an awful lot about being a consort) That post spawned an international threat of legal action because some woman claim to own the word Mistressology. The entire VRWC corner of the blogosphere came to her aid and slam dunked the Pommie blogger.

She has such an interesting family. He mother and father seem  to live every day like there will be no tomorrow. This post shows a real soft side to Bustedblonde.

And she has been a very strong supporter of Maori TV. That was apparently one of her most read columns.

She is fervently pro whaling, leaving no room for doubt. She scored a world exclusive piece of footage on the Ady Gil crashing into the Japanese whaling vessel. It was watched on You Tube over 45,000 times in less than 2 hours - before it was taken down - but not before the activists re edited it and put it up on you tube where it was viewed by millions. Busted then put it up again with reworked commentary and today it has been viewed 18,000 times.

So I am sad the Busted never got to enter the Real Bloggers awards and I hope that this list of posts will show that she would have been an admirable contestant.

TODAY WE ARE WISER

We learnt from MacDoctor that a whales penis is a dork.

As much as it fits with the tenor of this post it was a lucky coincidence.

Secondly there are spuds called Slaters and they are bloody expensive judging by the sign we saw in the Wairarapa. Can't find any reference on the net so maybe they are new. Now considering he looks like Mr Potato head with his appalling new haircut we will track em down and grow them in his honour.

Message to Whale - get a new stylist.

WEATHERSTON PART TWO

Bastable has a good take on the Weatherston issue. And backs up what we said. We werent surprised to see that the inmates did the chanting, taunting thing, thats not all that uncommon.

Whale Oil is calling for the axe to fall on the neck of Richard Worth and he hint darkly there is more to come. He is also outraged at the performance of Bill English on Q and A this morning. He is convinced that Bill did not do a very good job of backing up his boss. MWT also agrees

We are on holiday today - Soon to jump on the midday train for the Wairarapa - and the Aussie Rock has bought us flash tickets to the Wings over Wairarapa . shame about the spitfire but we are sure Tom Williams and the crew will have some good stuff to keep avaition buffs like us entertained.

We are also delighted to see that there will be Stewart Island oysters available soon Well done!

MACDOCTOR PUTS ELECTION CAMPAIGN IN PERSPECTIVE

There are many good bloggers but one of our favorites is MACDOCTOR.
And again his analysis is spot on. Read this here to see the reason for putting pragmatism ahead ideology to save lives.

MACDOCTOR FOR PRESIDENT

Macdoctor has some of the best posts . And his latest is no different . It is well reasoned , well written and well, just plain bloody right. It about Nia Glassie.

He calls it Souless Savagery - and talks about the eyes of the killers - and I know from experience that there are no depths to those eyes - they are just fathomless pools of nothingness.

CHINESE COVERUP OF SAN LU DEATHS

Homepaddock, MacDoctor and Inquiring Mind have been following the San Lu scandal closely and they ( and now we) have come to the same conclusion - since about Sept 20 the chinese have purged the internet of updates of the baby deaths relating to the melamine contamination... Google yourself and you will get a blank picture....

MacDoctor says there were 4 reported deaths and 158 with renal failure and it was expected more of those babies would die.

So there should be a lot more deaths and a lot more news ..
