We adore Great White sharks... and we wear the tooth of a 16 footer around our neck that our dad caught about 45 years ago. So were were agog at this story from Aussie where a shark took a serious bite out of another shark...

We have a close affinity with Great White Sharks, BB always wears a GW molar. We have been on boats when sharks have been caught. So we are delighted to read in the Southland Times that someone in the deep south has decided to give great white shark watching a go as a tourism venture.

A GOOD WOMAN SURVIVES SHARKS

Ali Timms is a no nonsense sort of a country chick ( her partner Ginger is a no nonsense country bloke ) I got to know them eons ago in Te Anau.
They are good cobbers of my sister, and Ali is a bloody good local body politician.
So I was glad but not surprised to see she had survived an encounter at sea when a yacht capsized near Fiji.

Well done Ali - good girl.
