TRAVELLING TOILETS


One of the biggest issues that Christchurch faces post quake is a sewage system thats a bit dodgy in places so port a loos have become de rigeur in many quake affected streets.

The Christchurch City Council has just announced that its bringing in 200 toilets from the North Island to be put in areas where things are still not the best on the sewage front.

So we expect they will be sturdy models - although we do like the portability of the one pictured.

TRADER JACK USES NOVEL WAY TO CUT DOWN ON CARBON EMISSIONS


We think this is hysterical. The irrascable Trader Jack of the Cook Islands has put these very clever stickers over his loo paper dispensers. Reckons its a great way to save on tissue use and save the planet at the same time....

RANDOM MUSING FOR THE DAY


Readers Digest like so many other companies appears to be in a spot of financial bother.
It is even considering bankruptcy.

It has been suggested that most Readers Digests ended up as mind fodder in the toilets around the world. The BBC even has a blog on reading in the loo.

Which got us to pondering - did they write the stories based on the time it would take you to read them while you were enjoying your morning constitutional?
