Conservapedia: The Trustworthy Encyclopedia

Tired of the dull neutrality of Wikipedia, try Conservapedia :

Conservapedia on Obama

Critics of the Obama administration have coined the word "Obamunism" to describe Barack Obama's socialistic and "fascism light" economic planning policies (Benito Mussolini defined fascism as the wedding of state and corporate powers. Accordingly, trend forecaster Gerald Celente labels Obama's corporate bailouts as being "fascism light" in nature).[69][70]
Obamunism can also refer to Obama's ruinous fiscal policies and reckless monetary policies.[71][72][73] In February of 2010, Jim Rogers, the world renowned investor, said concerning the Obama administration's monetary policy, that the European Union, Chinese, and Australian central bankers are more competent and honest than the Federal Reserve.[74]
Furthermore, Mr. Rogers asserted that Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, whom President Obama re-appointed to be the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, is "throwing gasoline on a fire" via his inflationary policies which are debasing the United States dollar.[75] Under President Obama the American government's share of the national gross domestic product has significantly increased.[76]

Conservapedia on Abortion
Abortion is the induced termination of a pregnancy,[1] often causing fetal pain. Abortion is a billion-dollar industry[2][3][4] in the United States[5] and Western Europe except for Ireland, Malta and Poland, where it has been abolished.[6][7][8] Abortion in Poland declined by 99% after communism was overthrown, and women's health has dramatically improved there due to fewer abortions.

About 80% of women who see an ultrasound of their fetus (unborn child) decide not to abort.[9] Millions of women who had an abortion later suffer psychologically or physically from it, and support groups exist to help.[10] Many victims of abortion find healing by speaking out against, and discouraging, similar harm to other mothers and their children. "I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born,"[11] highlights the deceit of abortion.

"Abortion doesn't solve your problems, it only creates different ones," warned a full-page ad by many women who had abortions.[12] Many women begin regretting their abortion before they even leave the abortion clinic. In some cases, women begin regretting their abortion just before it is performed,[13] but are told by abortionists that it is too late to change their mind because they already signed a consent form (which is a lie - it is never too late to withdraw consent for an abortion).

Conservapedia on Dinosaurs

Young earth creationists believe, from the biblical account, that dinosaurs were created on day 6 of the creation week[5] approximately 6,000 years ago, along with other land animals, and therefore co-existed with humans. As such, they reject the Theory of Evolution and the beliefs of evolutionary scientists about the age of the earth.

They believe that dinosaurs lived in harmony with other animals, (probably including in the Garden of Eden) eating only plants[6]; that pairs of each dinosaur kind were taken onto Noah's Ark during the Great Flood and were preserved from drowning[7]; that many of the fossilized dinosaur bones originated during the mass killing of the Flood[8]; and that possibly some descendants of those dinosaurs taken aboard the Ark are still around today.[9]

They use archaeological, fossil, and documentary evidence to argue that dinosaurs co-existed with mankind until at least relatively recent times.

Conservapedia on Global Warming

Many political activists use the term "global warming" to refer the anthropogenic global warming theory (AGW), which asserts that human activity such as spewing "greenhouse gases" is causing more temperature increase than all natural causes combined. The AGW theory is supported by left-leaning political parties, as well as a majority of sovereign states, national agencies, and an intergovernmental panel (see IPCC).

Fortunately, there is no global crisis despite dire warning by the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Predictions made by climate models publicized by the IPCC have not come to pass, and the climate has shown a mild cooling over the last 15 years. [15]

In November 2009, emails were disclosed that demonstrated wrongful manipulation and concealment of data by scientists who have insisted that there is dangerous man-made global warming.

Knee Jerk

We posted a link to this story about the decimation of the bee population in the United States on our Facebook profile.

Disturbing evidence that honeybees are in terminal decline has emerged from the United States where, for the fourth year in a row, more than a third of colonies have failed to survive the winter.

The decline of the country's estimated 2.4 million beehives began in 2006, when a phenomenon dubbed colony collapse disorder (CCD) led to the disappearance of hundreds of thousands of colonies. Since then more than three million colonies in the US and billions of honeybees worldwide have died and scientists are no nearer to knowing what is causing the catastrophic fall in numbers.

The number of managed honeybee colonies in the US fell by 33.8% last winter, according to the annual survey by the Apiary Inspectors of America and the US government's Agricultural Research Service (ARS).
What I found interesting was a comment on my post from a leading member of the local VRWC jokingly blaming the decline on Obama. (As an aside the problem began on Bush's watch.)

There is a danger in any closely or loosely aligned group of group-think occurring. One area of group think that appears to be a feature of the right of center political blogs in New Zealand is global warming. Another is promotion of mining in the conservation estate that 40,000 people marched against last weekend.

This group think can evolve into the kind of roving bands of internet thugs that rove the threads of Kiwiblog and that suppress meaningful discussion.

FIRST PM TO BE A MEMBER OF THE GOOD BASTARD CLUB?

We think so.

We were dubious that Key had a programme that made use of his talents and positioned NZ well on the world stage. We must have been having a bit of a black hat day as it is clear that John Key is doing very very well.

We think that its because he is a Good Bastard. Obama went looking for him.
He is prepared to look like a dick on USA TV because it gives our tourism invaluable exposure. He foots it on the world stage. He looks like he is enjoying it and and he does it in his inimitable good bastard style.

He should become the patron of the Good Bastards club.

Send him some brews Paddy.

BARRY STILL FULL OF SHIT AND NOW HE WANTS TO RULE THE WORLD

We listened to your words Barry and it was a speech that should ignite the passions of your people and given them hope and heart. You told them the road would be hard and there was much to do - you held out the olive branch to the nations who were waiting for a sign that the old regime was gone.

Then you said the the words that made all the other words turn to dust and blow away on the chill wind.
"know that America is a friend of each nation and every man, woman, and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity, and that we are ready to lead once more."

You said you were ready to lead once more. No you are not Barry. You country is in ruins, Your people are standing on the edge of a social financial and economic precipice and your sights should have been on rebuilding you country and showing the rest of the world that you were ready to stand up and help lead the world. Instead you want to lead the world.
We don't want you to lead the world until you can show you can lead your own country.

We do not respect you when you show your arrogance. We will not follow you until you show us what you are capable of. We do not need for your to patronise us or assume that you have a divine right to lead the world.

Pick up your nation, dust them off and get them on the path to prosperity but do not ever tell us that you are ready to be our leader. We may come to you and ask you to help unite the world when we see what you can do.

So go Barry, go to your people - do your best to fix the mess your good country is in and maybe in a while we will come knocking at your door.

ROUND UP

  • Which top journo who tried PR and was good at it, decided after a particularly amoral decision by his employers to return to the side of the angels?
All we will say is power to the people.

  • Which Ex MP is up on fraud charges?
  • Is it true that Paula Bennett has been offered a fight for life contract?
  • Who else wants to say "no we f****kn wont" every time they hear Barry Obama say "Yes we can?"

Watch that space - its all about who was here first, who dares and who wins.

BARRY OBAMA - FULL OF SHIT?

Is anyone else out there just a little concerned about the god like status that Obama has in the US?
Now we applauded the US for appointing an African - American to the Presidency. It probably would have been more historic it has been a native American but thats bye the bye. But the hype the rhetoric and the adulation is leaving us more than a little fearful. Not PC has a good analysis of the strong left wing bias that Barry has. It makes for disturbing reading.
The trade implications for NZ are also worrrying.

I hope for the sake of the US and the rest of the world that Barry delivers on the hopes dreams and the needs of his people. Sadly we think he will go down as the worst President in living memory.

Interestingly we just tried to search the net for recent stories that criticise Obama. The few that are there are months old. Is there a tool that can purge the net of negative stories ? Some bloggers are convinced the Chinese used a purging tool to ensure the world did not know the extent of the San Lu scandal. Could the US be doing the same?

A NEW NEW ZEALAND

While nothing can every match the day the US voted for its first black president, yesterday will mark a turning point in our political history as well.
MMP makes major parties inclusionary by necessity. Clark saddled up and rode into town with a rag tag posse because she had to.

Last night Key signalled he would be more inclusionary, because he wants to. He understands that the Maori party will be the best party to help solve some of the issues Maori faces that impede their economic and social growth.
While we now have the measure of Key, after he talked strongly of inclusionary politics because it was good for the country, his own MP's will have to show grace as some will miss out to make way for the seats at the top table which will be shared with other parties.

Key has the chance to create a government now that shapes the future. It will need a mix of wise old heads and new blood.
In the coming days Key has some critical choices to make. He is known for making bloodless decisions during his years as a money trader. To get to where we need to go and create a country that is good and great he will need to make some pragmatic decisions about the future of some of the party's long standing MP's.
It will be the measure of not Key, but the party that these changes be made swiftly and without a murmur. The greatest lessons National can learn from Labour are loyalty and unity. So the whimpering and self interest of the past, that marked changes to personal status, must go.
Any National MP, who does not understand that the politics of inclusion will make the party stronger do not merit any position of note.
We look forward to a line up that shows , that National will give all New Zealanders a shared future based on aspiration, personal responsibility, and sound economic stewardship.

CHANGE IN THE WIND FOR NZ TOO

Today, the world became a better place as one of the great nations of the world elected Barack Obama, an African American, as the 44th President of the USA. The US needed change and today they got it. It signals a huge maturation of one of the powerhouses of the world.
We commend them.
It is a good day for New Zealand as well. It shows, we too, can go bravely toward change. We need to say no to the politics of envy and control and say yes to politics and leadership for freedom, pragmatism and aspiration.
We believe John Key will hold out his hand, to the Maori Party even if he has no need. He knows that to solve some of the issues that are vexing Maori, requires the leadership of the Maori Party. He knows and believes in inclusion, not for the sake of political expediency, but for the sake of a shared future for all New Zealanders. The same shared future that the USA voted for today.
