It appears Mr Meurant is happy to talk about everything but he wants a six figure sum...
Two media agencies have already been approached, so the kumera vine tells me.
If he really wants to clear his conscience, the SFO no doubt would be happy to let him talk. Hopefully his recollection of events will be a wee bit better than those of WP.
But I think it would be unwise of him to ask the SFO for any money for doing the canary thing.

The word you are looking for is 'kumara.'
Anything paid to Mr Meurant for information on the events in which he has been involved on behalf of his paymaster would surely be seized under proceeds of crime legislation? Or haven't they got round to introducing that in NZ yet?
