Well they didn't say that exactly but thats the sentiment. What they did say is that its seems Mallard thinks his lifes ambition is to be a Labour version of Whaleoil. And they ask the question - why should the taxpayer pay his salary when he blogs?

Unlike Slater, I'd be pretty sure that "Twevor" wants to go back to his regular "work".
Slater is hangin' on the benefit hoping for a full time radio or TV political commentary role to come his way (his semi-regular stint with that awful wanker Bolshevik Bradbury on Triangle doesn't cut it) . . or when his inheritance arrives. Whatever comes first.
