This is a very old picture of Trader. He is now doing more poorly. Even more poorly than since my last visit and I drank him out of Mumm's and abused him for not having more.
I never thought of there - do we pay for Winston to fly over.
By the way wasn't his restaurent destroyed in a Hurricane a couple of years ago.
Having said that I recall a nice crayfish meal there in 2003 and I have the apron to prove it.
Trader Jacks is the best restaurant in the islands - by bloody miles.
Winstone likes a whisky or three, which just proves he DOES have some taste (taste is not from the same book as credibility!)
For the record Traders has been thrice destroyed by the sea. Shit it faces an open sea over the ocean. Has been rebuilt again and cleverly designed to be taken apart and stored before the cyclone hits.
I am SURE that any Roar Prawn reader who calls on the trader will get a complimentary drink - or at least a thick ear!
The seafood platter is one of the best I have had anywhere so agree with Spaz.
Trader doesn't like dishing out freebies though. Probably charge a Roar Prawn reader double.
