Very good speech. I have known Karl Since about 1962 - one of his older brothers has been and remains, a good friend since we started in the third form in 1960.
I saw Karl at a school reunion in late March this year for the first time in probably 30 years and told him how much I enjoyed his curmudgeon columns etc.
