the problems of misunderstanding between National and the Maori party are due to a clash of cultures in identifying the relationship between treaty settlements and the Maori seats. National wants to determine an artificial link, the Maori Party does not.
So will the Maori Seats go after all treaty settlements are agreed to in principle, or when iwi have the money?
