GOWER CALLS THE PLAY

Excellent stuff from Patrick Gower this morning. His rugby analogy is sublime and on the money.

Game ain't over yet......

And our sources tell us that Mather has the rock solid support of his board.

Your sources are wrong. Mather won't say it, but he's going to get a red hot poker up the jaxy.

I should have mentioned earlier when I was calling out Sharples and Comer that this is also the perfect example of why you shouldn't ever do business within a hundred miles of Derek Fox.

If some people have the midas touch - everything they touch turns to gold - Derek Fox has the runny poos touch. Business, relationships, politics... they all turn to shit when Derek's in the house. There's a lesson there people.

Tainui not investing in MTS Rugby World Cup rights

Press Release by Tainui at 10:43 am, 14 Oct 2009

The Waikato-Tainui tribe has confirmed that it is not investing in the Maori Television bid for television broadcast rights to the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Waikato-Tainui chairman, Tukoroirangi Morgan, said he personally applauded MTS for its bid, but it did not meet the investment criteria for the tribe.

"The tribe focuses on investments which can meet the cultural, social and economic needs of our people," Mr Morgan said.

"We have to be prudent about what we invest in to meet those criteria.
"I think the MTS bid is a wonderful idea but, it's not for us," he said.
